Technical Specialist ~ Responsibilities involved component level troubleshooting of optical components and subsystems. Tested and repaired ONU’s transceivers used for Fiber-to-the-Home applications insuring the functionality of the laser, POTS, and high-speed data circuitry met optimum performance.

Engineering/Test Technician ~ Responsibilities involved component level troubleshooting and engineering support for low power wireless machine to machine radios operating at frequencies of 900MHz to 2GHz. Documented ECO design changes and improvements. Participated in lab measurements and experiments. Worked with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to coordinate materials and resources to achieve task objectives.

~ Responsibilities involved using automated test program to diagnose RMA POS (point of sale) computer hardware issues and updated software according to the latest revision. Troubleshooted hardware failures such as: lcd touch screens, memory modules, hard drives, and motherboards. Then used automated program to verify failures were resolved.

Electronic Technician ~ Responsibilities involved modifying power supplies circuitry to the latest revise updates. Used a test program to verify original manufacturer’s tolerance specifications and troubleshooting and modified accordingly to meet compliance to manufacturers specifications.

~ Responsibilities involved supporting a team of Design Engineers during all phases of production development. Experience concentrated in the transmitter section, particularly involving the power amplifier section to the antenna section. RF and Microwave: Experienced in designing and troubleshooting impedance matching transmission and reception circuits. Used test equipment to measure performance characteristics of RF circuitry. Performed component and module level troubleshooting, through-hole and surface mount soldering, data analysis, test fixture design, prototype assembly, S-Parameter measurements. Comply with electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling precautions.

Software: Proficient in using HP Vee visual and C programming, Lab view, and AutoCAD. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to document and chart data.

Instrumentation: Experienced in test equipment such as: Spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter, digital multi-meter, network analyzer, RF test-set and radio communication tester. Used microscopes to aid in assembly or rework.
